Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the open spaces within your spine. This can put pressure on your spinal cord and the nerves that travel through the spine to your arms and legs. Spinal stenosis occurs most often in the lower back and the neck.

Truth is, it is almost impossible for enough constriction to occur to cause pain and other symptoms. Constriction or Spinal stenosis is part of normal aging and is generally as benign as gray hair. Scientific and medical studies have proven that every 2 out of 3 people who have never had pain or other symptoms have structural abnormalities such as spinal stenosis.

There are many potential sources of this issue, most commonly aging and heredity.

With age, the ligaments can thicken. Spurs might develop on the bones as well as in the spinal canal. The discs in between vertebrae may begin to weaken. The facet joints may begin to break down. And every one of these elements can cause the spine to narrow.

If the spinal canal is abnormal at birth, signs of spinal stenosis may turn up in a reasonably young adult. Structural deformities of the vertebrae are not uncommon. Instability of the back and spondylolisthesis, when one vertebra slides ahead on another, can also narrow the spine.

COMMON SYMPTOMS INCORRECTLY BLAMED ON Spinal Stenosis

  • Pain in back and legs

  • Numbness, prickling, hot or cold feelings in the legs

  • Sciatica

  • Burning

Spinal constriction can be tough to diagnose considering that its symptoms are almost always due to psycho-physical activity.

Therapies such as postural adjustments or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications rarely do more than temporarily ease the discomfort.

An MRI or CT scan are the most common ways to diagnose spinal stenosis. However since spinal stenosis is an incomplete diagnosis these tests usually do very little to assist you in eliminating your pain. Furthermore, studies show the earlier in the process you have an MRI or CT scan the more likely you are to receive surgery.

Since surgery rarely provides long-term pain relief (because the cause isn’t structural) conservative approaches should be strongly considered.

MODERN BREAKTHROUGH AND MORE EFFECTIVE THERAPY

Remember this before seeking treatment... 2 out of 3 people who have NEVER had pain or other symptoms have structural abnormalities such as spinal stenosis.

This is proven by scientific studies and published by the most trusted medical journals in the world. If your pain has lasted longer than this, it probably has nothing to do with the stenosis.

That’s why everything you’ve tried so far has only provided some temporary relief. Then the pain and other symptoms come rushing back again and again...

The old-school medical approach treats the symptom, not the cause. Since the stenosis or other structural abnormality is almost never the cause of pain, any positive results are only temporary.

The latest neuroscience studies have shown that the cause of pain, and other symptoms based on structure and physiology, actually have a psycho-physical cause associated with stress and tension.

You already know that stress and tension exacerbate your pain. What you’ve never known before right now is that what causes your stress and tension is what actually causes your pain. The same pain that is almost always incorrectly blamed on spinal stenosis.

Over 30 years of scientific and neuroscientific research have determined this outcome. The biggest benefit for you is that the real cause of most pain has been determined. You have new options to relieve your pain that were completely unavailable before. This stops the days of ongoing pain management and adds the possibility for millions of people to use a conservative, safe and proven method to permanently eliminate their pain and other symptoms.

A purely intellectual and emotion focused approach pioneered by Dr. John Sarno in the 1970’s has proven exceptionally effective for people diagnosed with bulging disc, herniated disc, fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, whiplash, sciatica, migraine headaches and other incomplete diagnoses.

While most doctors are not aware of this concept, millions of people have been helped through the work of Dr. Sarno and many other doctors and experts since then. You too can benefit by opening up your mind to this alternate reason for your pain and the simple approach to ending your symptoms.

The downside is that not everyone can be pain free. The upside is that there is a Pain Test that has been scientifically developed to provide an objective result based on your specific situation. This will provide you exactly what you need to know about whether or not you can permanently end your pain.
